It seems that brands not offering short videos throughout their social platforms are missing out on great potential. Influencer marketing has grown to be THE primary social media marketing tool used by many corporations. We do warn you, the influencer market is already flooded, so choose wisely when searching for the right influencer to represent your brand. Consumers are looking for authenticity from their influencers, authenticity is key when aiming to increase engagement rates and genuine interest. Who else is sick of seeing those questionable teeth whitening products by? Can I get an amen?
With the recent launch of the iPhone 8 and iPhone X with it’s true-depth camera and 3D mapping, users are now more able to access the virtual world. We have already seen Snapchat introduce the new augmented reality feature, allowing users to access Bitmoji and password protect themselves via facial recognition. Augmented reality could see the introduction of virtual stores, users will be able to visit these stores, try products out and buy them online, creating a whole new brand experience us marketers are excited to get our hands on!

With Snapchat, Instagram and Facebook now introducing disappearing stories, many brands are utilising this feature in a whole new way, adding authenticity to their image. High-quality content is a must here, with 250 million stories everyday, it’s vital to make yours count. So our advice is, plan your campaigns well, schedule what is possible but wherever you can, have fun with your audience, show them the true character of your brand. Play with designs, ideas, and see what works best.
